1/2″ Snow blower Impeller Upgrade pad. Supercharge your 2 stage snow blowers. I’ve done this with a larger john deere tractor size 48″ 2 stage snow blower and smaller 5hp walk behind 2 stage blowers. Pictured is the 3-1/8” x 5-1/2” upgrade pad. If you have 3 impeller blade/paddles you will need 3 of these. If you have 4 impeller blade paddles you will need four or two. You will see a great improvement in wet snow throw with just two installed opposite each other for balance or install on all four impeller paddles. All you need is a self tapping sheet metal screw with a large washer. (Not included because you may want to go with a stronger screw or bolt)(see picture in listing for installation. If your impeller blades are smaller you can easily cut these down if it is larger up to 6.5” just message me in your order and I will cut them larger for you. I did this to the snow blower pictured 7 years ago and it’s still throwing 40% further in the heavier wetter snow. Much less blockage in the wet stuff and serious throw with the average snow. The first time you engage the impeller you may smell burning rubber but it will not last long because the rubber is conforming to the shape of the 2nd stage housing. When installing you will want the rubber to touch the housing but not pushing against it to bend the rubber. Doing this will create to much strain on the clutch initially.
