MIXED Colors SWEET WILLIAM Pinks Dianthus Barbatus Red Pink white Flower Seeds Sowing: Direct sow Sweet William seed after the last spring frost, planting it just below the surface and compacting the soil slightly. To start the seed indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost of spring, sow just below the surface of a flat; compress the soil slightly and keep it consistently moist. Keep the temperature at 60 degrees F until germination, which should take place within 14-20 days. Thin or transplant the seedlings. Growing: This plant adapts well to dry or rocky soils. Water seedlings until they become established; mature plants are drought tolerant and will only need watering in exceptionally dry periods. This plant usually develops a rosette of leaves in its first season and a flowering stalk in the second summer, though it may bloom in the first year if started early enough. Deadhead the faded blossoms for prolonged blooming. After 2 years of growth, divide the plant for healthy growth. This plant readily reseeds itself, but volunteer seedlings can easily be removed if not wanted. This plant attracts bees and butterflies while resisting deer. Harvesting: For sweet-scented fresh flowers, cut long stems of flowers that have just opened and place them in water immediately; strip the leaves that will fall below the water. For dried flowers, choose blossoms that have just opened and dry them whole or on the stem. The petals are also edible, and make colorful garnishes. Seed Saving: At the end of the season, allow the blossoms to mature and produce seed pods. The pods will turn dry and brown, splitting open on the top when ripe. Shake the pods over a container to remove the seeds, which are tiny black discs. Store the Sweet William seed in a cool, dry place. 50++ Strawberry Seeds (Alexandria) – Great Heirloom Fruit Vegetable Seeds USA

Welcome you to Smartbuyforever! We are a leading Seeds provider for several years! We provide fresh and high-quality Heirlooms seeds, NON-GMO and organic seeds to home gardeners and other’s Growers! Our main offerings: Hundreds of heirloom, rare, beautiful flowers and Herbs and Vegetables seeds. Especially we provide hard to find Herb and flowers seeds! Strawberry (Alexandria) Alpine strawberries from seed. Day-neutral. A gourmet treat and easy landscape plant. These decorative little plants produce delicious, aromatic red strawberries, about twice the size of wild berries but much smaller than the standard type. Perennials, Alpine strawberries stay compact and produce few runners, making them suitable for rock gardens, path edgings, pots, and window boxes. They begin producing the second spring, sometimes the first fall. Grows best in Zones 5-8. Edible Flowers: Flowers add a mild, strawberry-like flavor if sprinkled on salads or when used as a garnish for drinks and desserts. SCIENTIFIC NAME: Fragaria spp. Cold stratification: Cold stratification requires. CULTURE: Strawberries prefer a sunny to partially shaded location and moist, well-drained soil, richly fertilized with compost or aged manure, and a pH between 6.5-6.8. Prepare beds the previous fall or in early spring to get good control over perennial weeds. PLANTING (SEEDS): Sow seeds thinly in March or April in a fine soilless mix. Press seeds into moist mix and keep moist until plants emerge in 2-3 weeks. Keep soil temperature between 60°F (16°C) and 75°F (24°C), if possible. Transplant to plug trays or 1-1 1/2″ apart in flats, then to larger pots or planters for retailing full-size plants: 1 plant/3-4″ pot; 3-5 plants/8″ pot. Transplant outdoors anytime, 1' apart.  PLANTING (PLANTS): Space plants 12-18″ apart in rows 3-4' apart. Some growers prefer to plant the crowns with closer spacing (5-9″ in-row spacing for single rows or staggered double rows with 10-20″ in-row spacing) and to remove all runners during the entire life span of the bed. Set plants with the roots straight down into the soil, making sure the middle of the crown is level with the top of the soil. Irrigate and keep free of weeds. Mulch with straw in late fall when plants have started to go dormant to moderate freeze/thaw cycles and heaving. Pull mulch aside in spring when plants start to grow. Leave the mulch in the aisles to keep the fruit clean and help suppress weeds. HARVEST: Plants will set fruit from midsummer through October. Production and berry size may decline during the hottest part of summer. Day-neutral beds will last for one to two growing seasons once established. Do not renovate day-neutral varieties. NOTES: Encourage the plant to put its energy into becoming established by removing all the flower buds for the first 6 weeks after setting out your plants. We also recommend that you remove all the runners during the first year. SPECS: 100 plants/100' row, or 14,520 plants/acre at 12″ spacing, rows 3' apart.
