Rudbeckia Hirta Seeds – Gloriosa Daisy QTY 500 SEEDS Gloriosa Daisy (Rudbeckia Hirta) – A superb performer for the perennial xeriscape flower garden, Rudbeckia Gloriosa Daisy, is easily propagated from Rudbeckia Hirta seeds, and it offers a rewarding long bloom season with a glorious display of color! Gloriosa Daisy blooms vary from solid gold, bicolors, and doubles. This flower will grow in most soil types that are well-drained and in sunny settings. This daisy makes a good cut flower, and the more you cut, the more blooms are produced! Growing drought tolerant Gloriosa Daisy seed is simple and very rewarding since you get to practice water conservation. Sow Gloriosa Daisy seeds outdoors any time in the late fall or as early in the spring as the ground can be cultivated. Prepare soil by loosening the top 1 – 2 inches and removing any weeds. Sow the Rudbeckia Hirta seeds into the loosened soil and rake in. Walk over the area to gently press the wildflower seeds into the soil. Keep the Gloriosa flower seeds moist until germination. The plants transplant well and should be spaced 12 – 18 inches apart. The plants form a clump that will reach 12 inches in width. Deadheading prolongs the bloom season, but Gloriosa Daisies will re-seed themselves readily if you leave a few blooms to go to seed. Watch for seedlings in subsequent years. Vinca Minor Periwinkle Hardy Evergreen Ground Cover Plant Shrub 25+ Bare Root Plants Drought Resistant and a Fast and Easy Growing Spreading Plant. The Periwinkle flower (vinca minor) is most commonly grown as a form of ground cover; it is exceptional for preventing erosion. It grows best in growing zones 4 to 8. It is also referred to as creeping Vinca. It blossoms from April to May, and its blooms are a beautiful color. Their flowers are about one to two inches in diameter and funnel-shaped. Each flower has five flattened petals. The leaves range in size from 1 & 1/2 inches to 3 inches in length and are a shade of dark green. The leaves are oblong in shape and have a glossy appearance. They also can be propagated from stem cuttings that are collected anytime during the summer months. When planting new plants, space them six to twelve inches apart to prevent garden choking. There are over thirty types of vinca minor. It is known for spreading; once it is established in the desired location in your landscape, it requires minimal care. Periwinkle (Creeping Vinca) Is Drought Resistant and Grows Easily This herb has its ideal growing conditions in USDA Growing Zones 4 – 8 and reaches maximal heights of 6 inches tall. The plant grows horizontally more than vertically, however, with a maximum spread width of 18 inches at full maturity. In keeping with its perennial nature, the leaves of the Vinca minor are evergreen and grow throughout the year. The plant begins blooming in early May and reaches peak bloom by the end of June. Blooms of the Periwinkle are a light pastel lavender color and maintain a tube-like structure throughout the blooming season. Optimum growing conditions for the Vinca minor are composed of medium-moisture to dry soil beds, and the plant grows best underneath ample amounts of direct sunlight. However, even if direct sunlight is not present, the Periwinkle plant will grow efficiently in partly shaded environments, and it is versatile enough to grow in heavily shaded areas as well. Frequent uses of the Vinca minor include erosion control in heavily watered areas and normalizing the soil quality near the banks of rivers and streams. Please Read Note that most plants and trees are shipped DORMANT. They may or may not have foliage when received. Plant the tree soon after receipt, water well, and it will come to life in a few weeks or less. Many plants will be shipped in a small container with potting soil or peat moss and may be cut back (pruned) hard for shipping purposes. They too will spring to life in a short time. I have had many issues with buyers not reading the full description, then leaving negative feedback or threatening to leave negative feedback after receipt. Please refer to the photographs. The 4th photo is what your bundle might look like upon receipt. The plants may or may not have a visible root system. If the root end has pink and white coloring, it WILL root. The 5th photo is what 1 bundle will look like in 3-4 weeks when planted in potting soil in a trade gallon bucket. The 6th photo is a comparison of the difference a few weeks makes. Some buyers have put their Periwinkle in water to root and have had only limited success.I recommend to place the bundles in a pot with potting soil, water WELL and OFTEN, and place the pot(s) in a shady area. The plants will begin to thrive in a few weeks. You can then dump the pots and plant each vine where you desire. FREE shipping – Lower 48 U.S.A. only Please check out my other ebay auctions. Black-Eyed Susan (Rudbeckia Hirta) QTY 2000 SEEDS Black-Eyed Susan (Rudbeckia Hirta) – This familiar, yet gorgeous golden yellow wild flower is often seen growing in large colonies along highways, in fields, and in many natural settings. Black-Eyed Susan easily establishes from Rudbeckia Hirta seeds, and it produces clumping, stiff, upright drought tolerant plants. Rudbeckia Black Eyed Susan is native to the eastern United States and is probably the most common of all American wildflowers. They have the characteristic dark brown, domed center which is surrounded by bright, golden yellow petals. Black-Eyed Susan wildflowers thrive in most soils, in full sun, and they forgive neglect. Even though these plants prefer moist soils, they are also quite drought tolerant and can be planted for xeriscape gardening. ***This is not a new listing; I had to relist it and lost all previous ratings and information; thank you loyal repeat customers!*** Variety is a Virginia Gold Heirloom tobacco (N. tabacum), but I like to joke they’re “Great Lakes Gold”, since I grew them right here in the beautiful Great Lakes State! Specifically, these fresh seeds were harvested from mature tobacco plants in southeast Michigan (USDA Zone 6a). I have no idea if they are more hardy to cold temperatures but they certainly coped with them here 😉 In all seriousness, the plants were sown, fed (with organic compost), watered, and harvested by hand, including the seed which was painstakingly beat out of the seed pods with a mallet. For planting and harvesting/curing instructions, please check online or contact me (I will send you an entire written document of the in-depth instructions). The rules are simple but absolutely MUST be followed for good germination, especially heat and humidity requirements. Please note: The seeds are EXTREMELY small, some of the smallest of any crop. Your quantity will appear small, but rest assured I have actually put far more than the 1,000 advertised in the title. For ballpark numbers, 1 gram tobacco seeds = 1 teaspoon = 10,000 seeds. Yes, you’re reading that right. I put about a quarter or third teaspoon so you don’t think I’m cheating you.
