Schedule 80 fittings are a little thicker and stronger than schedule 40 fittings, but schedule 40 pipe will work fine with them. Diameters listed indicate what size pipe they work with, so for example a 1 Inch Fitting will work with 1 Inch diameter Schedule 40 or Schedule 80 pipe.
